Just a quick note, if you’ve been wondering what are splogs and if you should I be worried, take a look at my guest post over at the Blog Catalog Community Blog. Many thanks to Cheryl from That Girl Is Funny for inviting me to guest post.

I happens a lot unfortunately. Some people turn off trackbacks as they get so many from splogs, but in some ways at least you know when it's happening to you.
Nothing wrong with creating sites to link into your own – but ripping off the content of others is not cool at all. Other logo companies seem to be doing much worse things these days though – it’s a very competitive, and sometimes downright nasty business.
I’ve recently discovered what you mean by splogs or whatever you call them. The same ISP kept connecting to the same page on my blog. He used the most horrendous titles for his blog posts. That’s what caught my attention. I didn’t see why he was so interested in my posts. There are now 3 sploggers trying to get juice from me. It’s horrible.
Seriously... all of the stupid hybrid words aren't cute or clever, they're just stupid. Especially those derived from "blog," which is already a hybrid word.
